Country girl: Gingham jsk

Like I said on my last post I also got some bigger patterned gingham. As there were a lot more than just for a skirt I decided to try to make a jsk. I wanted to try something a bit more complicated compared to my earlier works

I drew simple bodice pattern with darts. The upper seam will go down on the side as it has to have some room for blouses' sleeves. I had to deepen the upper front dart to better fit. The skirt part is gathered rectangle.

I used two different embroidered laces to it: a smaller one for the bodice and pockets, and a bigger one for the hem. They have same pattern with different scale.

The back has shirring and there's a zipper on the side. Overall I'm a bit proud with this. I really like this and I might end up wearing it as a sundress this summer.
